The team of 12 includes students from six countries, such as Bangladesh, Austria, and Spain. During their stay, the artists will explore Guyan Huaxiang scenic area and surrounding villages, interpreting Liandu's charm from diverse artistic perspectives.

A Bangladeshi doctoral student expressed his fascination with a 1,500-year-old ancient camphor tree, saying that the beautiful scenery and fresh air made painting here a happy and comfortable experience.

The professors involved noted that the area's well-preserved natural environment and rich cultural heritage are enduring sources of inspiration. The activity was also live-streamed online, allowing art enthusiasts to experience the creative process virtually. The works created during this residency are scheduled for a collective exhibition next year.

Initiated in May, the annual art residency program focuses on five core motifs. It has already attracted 40 domestic and international artists, half of whom are from countries like France and the United Kingdom.

Guyan Huaxiang scenic area aims to deepen this artist residency project, using art as a bridge to promote high-quality integrated cultural and tourism development.
