Lishui government work report outlines key development plans
Mayor Zhu Linsen presented the municipal government work report at the 6th session of the 5th Lishui Municipal People's Congress on Jan 21, outlining the city's achievements and future plans.
In 2025, Lishui achieved stable economic growth. Its GDP is estimated to have grown by 6.4 percent, ranking third in Zhejiang province. The per capita disposable income of rural residents led the province for the 17th consecutive year, and 10 key livelihood initiatives were completed.
Over the past five years, Lishui has made significant strides. Its GDP has climbed to approximately 230 billion yuan ($33.03 billion), improving its national ranking among prefecture-level cities.
Lishui has maintained the top ecological quality index in Zhejiang for 21 years and has been recognized as a national ecological civilization demonstration zone. Reforms in areas like eco-product value realization have led the nation.
For the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30), Lishui aims for advanced, high-quality development. Key targets include GDP exceeding 300 billion yuan by 2030, with growth rates remaining among the highest in the province.
The main economic targets for 2026 include GDP growth of 6 percent to 6.5 percent and continued per capita disposable income growth for residents, keeping the province at the forefront.
This year's work will focus on 12 key areas, such as stimulating investment, fostering industrial innovation, promoting urban-rural integration, and improving public services.
