The renovated terminal building of the Cangnan High-Speed Railway Station, situated in Wenzhou's Cangnan county in East China's Zhejiang province, began operating on Dec 2.
The renovation project, launched in May 2019, cost a total of 640 million yuan ($98 million). The terminal building has been expanded from 4,200 square meters to 26,993 square meters in area, and a number of facilities have been added to the station to alleviate traffic congestion around it.
The Cangnan High-Speed Railway Station is now the largest railway station in a Chinese county or county-level city, and Cangnan's logistical and economic significance in southeastern Zhejiang have been further enhanced as a result.
