Ten agricultural projects in East China's Zhejiang province were included on a list of programs that will receive financial support from the central government that was recently published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. They are expected to gain development momentum with the subsidies.

The projects consist of a modern agricultural industrial park, a traditional Chinese medicinal materials industry cluster, as well as eight towns rich in various agricultural products.

Cangnan Modern Agricultural Industrial Park is located in Cangnan county, Wenzhou. With a planned area of more than 5,400 hectares and 1.95 billion yuan ($302.97 million) in investment, the industrial park is engaged in the hog and tea industries.

Quzhou is one of the regions that have worked together to establish a medicinal materials industry cluster as the city abounds with such materials. It plans to set up an industrial base, bring in a number of pharmaceutical companies, and eventually build a complete industrial chain involving multiple sectors, such as herb planting, processing, research and development, marketing, as well as tourism.

The eight towns included on the list are located in different cities in Zhejiang and produce a variety of quality products, including rice, broccoli, goji berries, as well as fruit.
