Workers rescue a beached whale in Ruian, Zhejiang province, on Tuesday. Fishermen found the whale in the morning and called police, who arrived at the site with professional animal handlers. A pond was dug to temporarily house the whale, which is about 7 meters along, weighs nearly 2 metric tons and was showing signs of dehydration. The workers planned to return it to the ocean during high tide on Tuesday night.
