Fortune Global 500 company DXC Technology joined hands on Sept 29 with Longwan district – in the city of Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province – to build an international software industrial park.
With a total investment of about 10.2 billion yuan ($1.58 billion), the project includes a software cloud testing R&D headquarters, a software cloud testing center and a software education base. On completion, the park is expected to attract over 100 software enterprises to move there and over 10,000 software employees.
Liu Xiaotao, Party secretary of Wenzhou, thanked DXC Technology for investing in Wenzhou at the signing ceremony and said it would lead to a raft of further development in the city with the help of all the companies that were destined to follow suit.
Liu pledged the city would create a first-class business environment and provide investment projects and top personnel with high-quality and customized services.
Zhao Guoshuai, general manager of strategic development at DXC Technology, praised the city's services and business environment and said the company would make Wenzhou one of its regional headquarters for software services.
The executive predicted a win-win result in software services and staff training, in the wake of the company's cooperation with Wenzhou.
During the meeting, DXC Technology signed cooperation deals with Wenzhou University and Wenzhou University of Technology. In addition, Longwan district signed a cooperation deal with Kyndryl and Etuo Communication Group.
Apart from the planned software industrial park, other projects in field of the digital economy and in the life sciences are also expected settle down in Wenzhou, providing a driving force for its high-quality development.
