The purchasing team from Wenzhou, Zhejiang province has cashed in on $94.14 million worth of goods at the fourth China International Import Expo in Shanghai as of Nov 7, local media outlets reported.

Huang Guoxin, head of the Zhejiang Shunfu Printing Co in Cangnan county, Wenzhou, was mostly in favor of the Intelligent Industry and Information Technology area where his company has greatly benefited from seven types of cutting-edge printing equipment that he had purchased from previous CIIE events.

"Although we've invested around $11 million, the sophisticated equipment has helped my company save money by cutting 20 percent of the manpower that was previously needed as well as increased productivity and annual output by over 20 percent and 15 percent, respectively," Huang said.

"The annual output of my company has exceeded 100 million yuan ($15.63 million)," Huang added.

He was planning to invest another $5 million in two digital printing machines this year and has reached purchase intentions with Germany's Heidelberg and Japan's Ricoh, which are two big names in the printing equipment industry.

In the food trade industry, the Iberian ham seller La Encina Seleccion Sl. from Wenzhou, continued to shine in CIIE events among other Wenzhou-based companies and has won popularity among Chinese consumers.

The company this year has reached a deal of $1 million with Aljomar, one of the most time-honored Spanish brands of salted, cured and air dried Iberian ham.

"Aljomar has a good relationship with us and we will continue to bring more Spanish food to Chinese people to help them better understand Spain's food culture," said Meng Chengzhen, a manager of the company.
