Lawmakers and political advisors from Wenzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province recently voiced their opinions about the opening-up measures mentioned during the Zhejiang two sessions.

Liu Guanghua, a member of the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and vice-chairman of the Zhejiang Federation of Overseas Chinese, said that he has been bringing the aspirations of Chinese businessmen and overseas Chinese to the provincial two sessions.

"We have submitted proposals to the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee in recent years on helping private enterprises go global, promoting the establishment of the pilot zone for Chinese businesspeople and overseas Chinese, and highlighting the development of intelligent manufacturing," Liu said.

"The launch of the Wenzhou-Europe freight train last year has greatly inspired me and I will submit a proposal on promoting traditional Chinese medicine and related services overseas this year," Liu added.

Hu Pengfei, the honorary president of the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce in Hungary, said the pilot zone has opened a "green channel" for high-caliber Chinese businessmen and overseas Chinese to settle in Wenzhou with their innovative ideas and industrial projects.

Hu said he will continue to make use of his resources and advantages to promote foreign economic exchanges, spread Chinese culture overseas, and contribute to the high-quality economic and social development of Wenzhou.

As one of the largest hometowns of overseas Chinese in China, Wenzhou has 690,000 natives doing business overseas.
