Hailing from 10 countries including the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea and Japan, the foreigners got to learn about Wenzhou folk customs, sample local cuisine, hear the stories behind the dishes, and share about their interesting New Year experiences.
The foreigners also tried their hands at crafting decorative ornaments such as Chinese knots and paper-cuttings, as well as writing the Chinese character fu, which means "fortune", on couplets that are typically pasted on the front gate of homes during the Chinese New Year.
