A new video series featuring Hosany Sumayyah, a Mauritian surgeon who has been living and working in China for 13 years and can speak fluent mandarin, was recently released.

The videos featured visits paid by Sumayyah to sporting venues of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in Wenzhou, a coastal city in East China's Zhejiang province.

Her first stop was the Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center, a newly-finished venue which has six professional dragon boat competition courses – 1,200 meters long, 130 meters wide, and 3.5 meters deep.

The center has been recognized as the best of its kind in Asia. It will host the dragon boat competitions for Hangzhou 2022 in September, when six gold medals will be up for grabs.

The pleasant climate in Wenzhou, which enjoys four distinct seasons and abundant rainfall, makes it an ideal location for dragon boat racing, while the race center is conveniently located in the city's central Ouhai district with excellent rail links.

Sumayyah has played an active role in promoting Chinese culture overseas. She also works with the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center for cultural promotion. Her next stop will be the Wenzhou Olympics Center Stadium, so please stay tuned.
