Michael from Ghana has been living in Wenzhou for five years. He spent this year's Lantern Festival in Rui'an, watching live waist-drum shows, making rice cakes, writing Spring couplets, and most interestingly, trying leidideng, or rolling ball-shaped lanterns, an intangible cultural heritage item unique to Rui'an.
