Jiang Shengnan, a NPC deputy and researcher at the School of Humanities of Wenzhou University, suggested stepping up efforts to combat online piracy by strengthening supervision over service providers such as search engines and advertising alliances.

"Some writers lamented that when they searched for their works online, the top results were piracy websites, while the real product was nowhere to be seen. This not only seriously infringes upon the author's legitimate rights and interests, but also violates the principles of an innovation-driven cultural and social atmosphere," Jiang said.

Teng Baogui, a NPC deputy and a front-line blue-collar worker, submitted a motion on optimizing and adjusting policies on reclamation and accelerating the formation of land areas for planned ports.

"I hope that on the premise of giving priority to the environment, the central government can relax its reclamation policies for provincial and municipal key water transport projects and port industries," Teng said.

Nan Cunhui, a CPPCC member and chairman of Chint, a leading global provider of smart energy solutions, submitted more than 10 proposals related to intelligent charging networks, clean energy, the carbon emissions permit trading market, household photovoltaics, and intellectual property rights.

"For example, the difficulty and cost of charging are still key factors restricting the development of the new energy vehicle industry. I suggest that the country formulate a development plan for charging and changing infrastructure as soon as possible and offer fiscal and tax policy support to the development of the intelligent charging network," Nan said.
