This is the third and last video following Hosany Sumayyah as she explores the sporting venues in Wenzhou, which will host competitions for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 in the near future.
Sumayyah is a Mauritian surgeon who currently works at the Panhealth Medical Center in Wenzhou. She has been living in China for 13 years and is fluent in Mandarin.
In this episode, Sumayyah will visit the Wenzhou Sports Center, which will host the men's and women's football group matches from Sept 7 to 16.
The center was built in Lucheng district in downtown Wenzhou 25 years ago, so renovations on the venue mainly focused on adding cutting-edge technologies and designs ranging from its illumination system to natural lawns.
For example, sensors were applied around the natural lawns to collect data such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, sunshine duration, and solar radiation, and work out lawn maintenance plans in a more intelligent manner. Adjustable high-pole lamps, which have been embedded with advanced anti-dazzle technology, were also placed around the venue to provide a more comfortable environment for both the football players and spectators.
