Wenzhou authorities have set up more than 240 permanent and temporary nucleic acid testing sites within the last three days to deal with the latest COVID-19 outbreak in the city, local media outlets reported.

The nucleic acid testing sites can be found in traffic hubs such as railway stations, airports, bus stations, and water transport terminals, as well as in places with large floating populations, including industrial parks, urban-rural fringe areas, and markets dealing with imported commodities.

The authorities have been utilizing text messaging, short videos, and online posts to share information of the latest outbreak and advise people to adhere to epidemic prevention measures.

The city had previously launched a new application that allows a person's health QR code and travel record for the past 14 days to both be displayed on one screen, thus improving the efficiency of screening.
