Foreigners celebrate the bilingual theme song With You, Wenzhou Will Be Better. [Video/Wenzhou Overseas Media Center]
Wenzhou, a coastal city in East China's Zhejiang province, recently published a song for foreigners who are active in promoting the city and its culture.
The bilingual theme song, With You, Wenzhou Will Be Better, was written by Jeniffer Tavira, an Angolan singer, and composed by British musician Ludo Lupembe. Tariva sang the song together with her friend Percy David PaPa Akuetteh, a Ghanaian who has been studying and living in Wenzhou for 12 years.
The theme song draws on Chinese cultural elements and African music, integrating a bold artistic genre with Wenzhou's landscapes, historical and cultural deposits, and humanistic manifestations.
The music is expected to help Wenzhou promote its international image and show the world how the city has impressed foreigners.
