A 167-hectare maple leaf park in Yueqing, a county-level city administered by Wenzhou, which has been funded by returned businesspeople since 2017, has recently turned from barren mountains into a natural palette of color, local media outlets reported.
With a total investment of 450 million yuan ($68.9 million), the park was adorned with a large variety of plants such as maple trees, cherry blossoms, Chinese roses, common crape myrtle flowers, and plum trees.
"We aim to design a park that is rich in color year-round," said Xu Jincai, an investor in the park. "We are planning to invest in children's amusement facilities, a safari park, and rural homestays in the future."
The park is currently covered in richly-colored maple trees ranging from red to yellow.
