Hai'ou Community, a group of individuals and organizations from home and abroad who are active in promoting the coastal city of Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province online, has brought about strong results since its establishment one year ago.
A total of 46 units and 76 individuals have been invited by the Wenzhou Cyberspace Administration, the community's organizer, to join the group and explore the city's many charms.
Hosany Sumayyah, a Mauritian doctor fluent in mandarin and has been living in Wenzhou for 13 years, is a member of the community.
In addition to visiting local scenic spots, enjoying Wenzhou specialties, and learning folk customs, Sumayyah and her husband have also been devoted to epidemic prevention and control work, aiming to contribute more to the city.
"I've met many good teachers and helpful friends in Wenzhou. This is my home away from home," Sumayyah said.
The community also announced that its cultural promotion efforts will focus on 12 themes this year, covering topics such as child-friendly city, port city development, Asian Games, and local tourism.
