The surge arresters developed by Wenzhou Yikun Electric Co, a company in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, were recently used in a new Fuxing high-speed bullet train developed for testing by Chinese train manufacturer CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co.
Surge arresters are important protective equipment that ensure the safe operation of high-speed bullet trains.
According to reports, the new train set a world record speed of 435 kilometers per hour during its recent test on the rail line between Puyang and Zhengzhou in Central China's Henan province. It also set a relative speed record of 870 km/h when two trains ran in opposite directions and passed each other on parallel tracks in a tunnel.
The new train will provide important technical support and guidance for the further development of CR450 trains.
Founded in 1994, Wenzhou Yikun Electric Co is a national high-tech company focused on the research and development, production and sales of high-voltage electrical equipment and rail transit electrical equipment, as well as the development of online safety monitoring and automation control software and system.
