Gacia Electrical Appliance Co Ltd in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province was recently awarded an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate, the first AEO certificate issued by Wenzhou Customs in 2022, local media reported on May 31.
To date, a total of 10 enterprises in the city have obtained the certificate.
Enterprises that obtain the certificate benefit from a series of customs facilitation measures, such as reduced inspection and clearance procedures and incentives offered by the General Administration of Customs, which will further reduce the operating costs of enterprises and enhance competitiveness in international markets.
Gacia Electrical Appliance Co Ltd is among the top three exporters of low-voltage electrical appliances in Wenzhou. Its products are mainly exported to Europe, South America, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
This year, to promote foreign trade in the city, Wenzhou Customs actively has carried out a number of AEO certification programs. With the help of AEO certification experts, Wenzhou Customs analyzes companies' shortcomings and carries out targeted improvement work.
According to Wu Manhuai, chairman of the company, Wenzhou Customs helped the company fulfill a series of qualifications such as organizational restructuring and warehouse construction to be a recipient of AEO.
