More than 80 tourists a day visited the blueberry base to pick the fruit during peak season, which now brings in more than 100,000 yuan ($14,941.41) a year in net profit, said Li.
Wang Tingting, one of the beneficiaries of the village's blueberry industry, has opened a blueberry outlet on online platforms.
To promote blueberry sales, Wang and her family began selling blueberries via online platforms such as WeChat, a social media app. Next, they plan to leverage the platforms to increase sales for the whole village.
