Many expats working and living in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, took part in a variety of activities to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, which fell on June 3 this year.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional holiday in China celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar.

Customs to celebrate the festival vary a lot in different areas of the country, but most Chinese eat zongzi, have dragon boat races, and carry a sachet around with them.

Zongzi is a very popular dish during the Dragon Boat Festival. This tasty dish consists of rice dumplings with meat, peanuts, egg yolk or other fillings wrapped in reed leaves.
