Wenzhou Polytechnic in East China's Zhejiang province won an award of excellence issued by the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics in San Sebastián, Spain on June 17, local media outlets reported.

The school was awarded a silver prize in the category of cyber and data security and social engineering for its innovative model in mustering concerted efforts from the government, school and enterprises and cultivating competitive personnel in information security.

It was the only domestic school to win the honor in this category.

The school's personnel training model has won praise and recognition from a number of well-known domestic information security manufacturers and employers.

The school was encouraged to see its efforts being recognized by the public and will continue to improve its work in personnel training and strive to contribute more to global network and data security.
