Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center passes pre-acceptance

The Olympic Sports Center in Ouhai district, Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, recently passed the pre-acceptance stage, indicating that site construction has entered the final stage and laying a solid foundation for its final approval.

The center covers a total land area of 236.6 mu (15.8 hectares) and a total construction area of 172,000 square meters, including 97,400 sq m of ground floor area and 74,300 sq m of basement.

The center consists of a 10,000-seat stadium, a 8,000-seat gymnasium, a 500-seat natatorium, supporting sports buildings, green landscapes projects, and various roads and bridges.

As a key provincial-level project, the center reflects Ouhai district's determination to strengthen its image in terms of sporting capabilities and it will work to meet the diversified needs of competitive sports, citywide fitness, culture and recreation, tourism, and business exhibitions.
