The three sporting venues and four football training fields located in East China's Wenzhou for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 were recently opened to the public, local media outlets reported.
The sporting venues are the Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium, Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, and Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center, while the four football training fields are located at the Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center, Wenzhou Medical University Chashan Campus, Wenzhou University North Campus, and Wenzhou Vocational College of Science and Technology.
The areas open to the public in the Wenzhou Sports Center are the plastic tracks in and outside the stadium, outdoor five-on-five football field (in the daytime), national fitness park, and public gym. Parking services are also open to the public.
Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center is the most standard and high-end dragon boat sports competition venue in Asia. More than 10 free or discount activities, such as dragon boat, jet powered surfing, and canoe, were carried out by the center on July 1 and will also be held on Oct 1.
The Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center has since its opening undertaken more than 20 large-scale events and activities, including the National International Wrestling Championship and 2019 World Young Scientist Summit. It is the sports facility with the largest investment amount and most complete functions in Wenzhou so far. It is planning to add outdoor basketball courts and tennis courts to better facilitate the fitness needs of local residents.
