An overseas warehouse owned by a Wenzhou enterprise recently won an honorary title from the Zhejiang provincial government, local media outlets reported.
The warehouse, located in Commack, New York State, the United States, occupies an area of 23,450 square meters and can handle more than 3,000 orders per day, with its daily warehouse utilization rate reaching 80 percent and its turnover rate exceeding 50 percent.
It currently provides international warehousing and logistics services, including customs clearance on arrival first transports, one consignment delivery, returned goods inspection and relabeling, bulk transfer, and multi-channel bulk inventory clearance.
Three overseas warehouses run by Wenzhou enterprises have won the honorary title so far.
The one in Zemun, Serbia, rated the best in Europe, had all of its good directly stored after being transported by sea and rail from the transit port without stopping at the designated customs declaration sites in Serbia. It boasted a utilization rate of 90.7 percent and an inventory rate of merely 1.13 percent.
Meanwhile, the one in New Delhi, India, a four-storied-3,000-sq-m building, mainly serves enterprises in Zhejiang province with cross-border businesses and project landing services in India. The goods stored there mainly include electronic appliances, shoes and accessories, transportation equipment, and amusement facilities.
