An intelligent medical and health service station has been well received by residents of Wanshun Community in Yongzhong sub-district, Longwan district, Wenzhou.
The station is open all day, allowing people in need of medical services to consult professionals and receive a primary diagnosis online with their online medical file matched with their ID card. People can also buy medicine there.
A 5G medical consulting room has also built in Wanshun Community. People can make an appointment online undergo basic physical examinations. After that, they will be able to meet doctors from higher-level hospitals to learn more about their situation and receive further treatment.
To help monitor the health of the elderly at all times, Wanshun Community also gave out smart watches for free to senior residents.
The smart watch can monitor the heart rate, blood pressure and other body data of the elderly in real time. Users can load their identity information to make an emergency call to workers providing community services in case of sudden illness.
Liu Youxiang, an elderly woman living in the community for years, said it is comforting to be able to monitor her health at all times and receive real-time medical services.
Liu added that the smart watch can also be used to contact workers at the community service center if she is in need of food, care, or house cleaning.
As of the end of July, workers at the Wanshun Community Service Center had installed monitoring equipment of water, electricity, gas, and smart watches for 438 elderly people who struggle living alone.
