Four research and innovation bases located in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province were selected among the first group of Innovation China innovation bases, according to the latest news from the China Association for Science and Technology.
They include the Near-zero Carbon Digital Intelligence Innovation Base, the China Society of Automotive Engineers Innovation Base, the China Eye Valley Innovation Base, and the World Young Scientist Entrepreneurship Park Innovation Base.
Wenzhou ranked first in Zhejiang province and among all 65 pilot cities of Innovation China in number of listed bases.
Innovation China was created by the China Association for Science and Technology to serve the integration of science, technology and economy. The listed innovation bases of the project will receive financial support and expert resource services to provide them with resources and support their operation and construction.
Wenzhou became a pilot city of Innovation China in May 2021. Since then, the city has signed strategic cooperation agreements with 16 national and provincial societies including the Chinese Institute of Electronics and Zhejiang Textile Engineering Society, established a society industry consortium service station, established eight science and technology service groups, and pushed for three projects to be included as demonstration projects of the Innovation China science and technology service group.
In June, Wenzhou was named the first scientific and technological service workstation of Innovation China in China.
