Cangnan, a mountainous county in Wenzhou, has been pursuing industrial development and made remarkable progress over the past decade, local media outlets reported.
The county has established a provincial economic development zone, had its Qianku town included in a provincial small-city pilot project, witnessed its first local company get listed, and had 242 enterprises realize an annual output value of over 20 million yuan ($2.84 million).
Seizing opportunities brought about by the pursuit of peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality, Cangnan has attracted a number of domestic energy giants and began construction on several projects costing over 100 billion yuan.

A total of 494 projects have been attracted to Cangnan over the past 10 years, among which 485 have started or completed construction.
The local high-speed railway station, which was expanded and upgraded in 2020, is able to dock 87 trains per day, with its services covering approximately 3 million people.
