The 2022 Wenzhou International Fashion Cultural Industries Expo will be held from Nov 18 to 24 at the Olympic Exhibition Center and is expected to attract over 500 enterprises from home and abroad, the Information Office of the Wenzhou government announced on Nov 8.
The expo, with a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, will focus on art, crafts, culture, tourism, technology, books, and local delicacies.
There will also be co-host venues in Lucheng, Longwan, Ouhai, Rui'an and Yongjia, and 28 smaller-sized exhibitions in local cultural industrial parks, creative cultural blocks, and characteristic cultural halls.
Over 50 events will be held on the sidelines of the expo, including a launch ceremony for new cultural economy trends, a cross-Straits cultural innovation development forum, a painting and calligraphy auction, and book signings by famous authors.
A forum on future village and culture and tourism development will be held in Mazhan town in Cangnan county, an area with picturesque coastal landscapes. The event encourages attendees to share their insights into topics such as how future villages can empower the high-quality development of the culture and tourism industries.
Since its initiation in 2014, the expo has attracted over 2 million visitors and 4,000 enterprises from 40 countries and regions, fostering the inking of deals worth 2.5 billion yuan ($349 million).
