Four foreigners living in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, recently embarked on a trip to explore the culture of She ethnic minorities in the local Xikeng town, Wencheng county, local media outlets reported.

Their first stop was a moss culture museum, where they learned the story of how the unimpressive moss has filled the pockets of local villagers, and also tried their hands at making moss bonsais.

"I enjoyed the feeling of creating a small world of soil and plants. It felt like creating a beautiful countryside with my hands," said Dobrynina Alexandra, a Russian senior manager who works at an American company in Wenzhou.

The foreigners also visited Rangchuan village, where they were impressed by a book house that villagers converted from a sheep and cattle pen. Visitors can read books while sipping tea or coffee.

"I was excited to see the novel transformation," said Ergashev Akmal, a Tajikistani social media influencer studying at Wenzhou Medical University.

The foreigners also watched She singing and dancing performances, learned to make traditional colored ribbons, and tried on folk costumes.

"The traditional costumes are so exquisite that I can feel the She people's zest for life," said Felicia from Indonesia.

Abdul Zahir Hamad, a Pakistani orthopedist at the local Panhealth Medical Center, could not wait to share his feelings: "The trip has embodied the idea that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."
