Wenzhou, being home to large numbers of ethnic minorities groups, has tried its utmost to help them promote their culture and realize common prosperity, Wenzhou Daily reported.
The ethnic minorities currently live in 111 villages in seven towns and townships, with a permanent population of 383,600 and a migrant population of 301,500.
Lan Ailian, who lives in the Xidong She ethnic minority village in Cangnan county, never imagined she would enjoy her life so much developing rural tourism.
Taking advantage of the Juxi Grand Canyon Scenic Area, Lan has turned herself into the boss of a rural homestay and now earns an extra 10,000 yuan ($1,434) per year.
"The forests, brooks and She ethnic customs have brought tangible benefits," Lan said.
