Seafood is popular among the seaside dwellers of Dongtou, an island district in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
Local people have developed an aquaculture industry based on yellow croakers. In this video, let's follow Halil, a Turkmenistani anchor of the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, as he tastes the most authentic flavors of Dongtou.
The yellow croaker fish, with its golden body, is given an oriental aesthetic element of good fortune. Luxi township, which is Located at the mouth of the Oujiang River where salt and fresh water converge, has been a natural breeding ground for fish. The fish here boast a healthy shape, golden color and delicious taste.
As there are no islands in Halil's motherland, the visit to Dongtou was particularly interesting to him. During his stay there, he went fishing in the sea for the first time and worked with a local chef to make a yellow croaker-based dish.
