The Wenzhou Public Security Bureau has formulated a new policy to facilitate travelers' entry into and exit from the city to promote normalized people-to-people exchanges between China and the rest of the world and ensure local socioeconomic development.
The measures, which will be implemented on Jan 8, include facilitating passport applications for business travelers, opening a "green corridor" for urgent overseas business travel and shortening the period for dealing with applications for business travel.
The bureau has also further eased endorsement requirements for business visits to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and provides business endorsements for more than one year if necessary. Enterprises can apply for endorsements through online services or directly apply on site to achieve instant approval.
Measures have also been taken to help foreigners in Wenzhou apply for relevant services, and those qualified to work in the city receive support applying for work permits and residence permits. Services are also provided to foreign businesspeople who want to extend, renew or reissue their business visas.
Foreigners who apply for urgent entry are allowed to apply for the visa prior to their arrival provided that the inviting organization or individual applies to the airport visa endorsement office of the Wenzhou public security bureau.
For Taiwan compatriots who have not completed the Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents before they arrive at the airport, a special passage will be opened for them to file entry applications as long as they can provide identification documents.
