The 20th Maanchi Park Tulip Festival opened in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Feb 28.
The festival will run until the end of March.
More than 300,000 flowers are on show. Visitors will get to see 48 varieties of tulips, including a rare one with purple flowers that was introduced to the festival for the first time, and 22 varieties of bulbous flowers, including hyacinths and striped Barbados lilies, are on show at the park.
Various cultural activities, such as salons and folk performances, will also be held during the festival, said the event organizers.
Following the tulip festival, more shows of spring flowers, such as orchids, plum blossoms, camellias, peonies, cherry blossoms, and azaleas, will be staged in Wenzhou.
