Sixteen international trade enterprises in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province have been selected for the list of "Zhejiang Export Brands", which was initiated by the province's department of commerce to strengthen international competitiveness of export products and form a new advantage in Zhejiang's trade competition, local media reported.
According to the selection criteria, six aspects of the candidate enterprises are taken into consideration: technological innovation, international certification, market sales and consumer recognition, brand building, globalized operation, and evaluation of social influence.
After rigorous review, a group of leading export enterprises with local Zhejiang characteristics, excellent quality, independent technology and strong competitiveness were selected.
The newly-selected enterprises include 11 from Wenzhou, represented by Zhejiang Chuangqi Electrics, Zhejiang Jiaben Electronics and Hongguang Electronics, which have a focus on mechanical electronics, textile and clothing, automotive parts, building materials and metallurgy.
In recent years, Wenzhou has attached great importance to brand building. It has established and improved the provincial-level and city-level "export brand" cultivation mechanism, formulated and introduced supportive policies for international trade enterprises in promoting international trademark registration and supported enterprises in strengthening their own brand-building efforts.
