Wenzhou to launch national short video competition in May

The "Tell China's Story" Short Video Contest Awards Ceremony was held in Weihai, East China's Shandong province on April 13. The ceremony also included a handover ceremony between Weihai and Wenzhou.

With the conclusion of the 2022 contest, Wenzhou took over as the host city of the 2023 "Tell China's Story" Short Video Contest.

In the 2022 contest, Wenzhou won the most awards among domestic participants with 18 awards, including three first-place prizes, three second-place prizes, six third-place prizes, and six excellent awards.

Gao Anming, editor-in-chief of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, pointed out in his speech that telling China's story well is a long-term, arduous, and important task that requires perseverance and adherence to new technological trends.

He emphasized the need to continually enrich the presentation form and communication channels of the stories and to create more high-quality stories with ideas, warmth, and emotion.

Wenzhou will continue to spread the Chinese voice, using cultural exchanges as the foundation and interpersonal communication as the medium. It will strive to present more high-quality works that are worthy of the times, with new ideas, warmth, and quality.

The 2023 "Tell China's Story" Short Video Contest launch ceremony will be held in Wenzhou in late May. A series of activities, including a large-scale media tour, will present the vitality of Wenzhou today and further help the world to understand and appreciate the city.
