Wenzhou Police in East China has introduced new cartoon mascots for the upcoming 19th Asian Games, which will be hosted by Hangzhou and co-hosted by Wenzhou from Sept 23 to Oct 8 this year, local media outlets reported.
The mascots represent the security and stability that the Wenzhou police will provide for the event. They were designed to embody the intelligence and dynamism of the police force and will appear at various public locations during the games, including landmarks, venues, airports and subway stations.
The cartoon mascots are part of a broader effort by the Wenzhou police to ensure safety during the Games and to promote the city's image as a safe and welcoming destination for visitors.
Meanwhile, the police force launched a knowledge competition called "Welcoming the Asian Games in Safety" to raise public awareness of safety issues during the games.
With the help of these new mascots and other initiatives, the Wenzhou police are working to create a safe, secure and hospitable environment for athletes, officials and visitors to the 2022 Asian Games.
