Wenzhou Longwan International Airport in Zhejiang province initiated its "9610" inspection venue for imported and exported e-commerce goods on May 11.

The "9610" is a type of customs supervision model for individuals and cross-border e-commerce enterprises that need to deal with customs clearance for retail e-commerce imported and exported goods paid for via e-commerce platforms. The clearance can be dealt with via inventory inspection, summary declaration and summary statistics, which will significantly save on time and costs.

The inspection venue is equipped with a cross-border e-commerce intelligent online inspection system, video monitoring system and wireless network coverage system. By applying the intelligent equipment and system, which uses big data and internet of things, the airport has become more intelligent, automatic, safer, efficient and advanced when it comes to the inspection of cross-border e-commerce goods.

The first task of the new venue was to deal with an order of 1,108 exported parcels weighing 13.98 metric tons bound for Osaka, Japan and Manila, the Philippines, after being declared in the form of "9610" inventory inspection.

Among the goods exported through the airport, cross-border e-commerce goods account for more than 60 percent. The new inspection service will improve the efficiency and ability of Wenzhou's international cargo lines in dealing with international goods and thus maintain a stable operation revenue.
