Zhejiang's Wenzhou Longwan International Airport reopened its fast tracks for immigration clearance on May 15, allowing passengers to pass through in an average of just 10 seconds.
"It's very efficient," a citizen surnamed Chen said. "It helps save time for our businessmen who enter and exit the country frequently," he added.
In place of manual inspection, eligible passengers can enjoy fast-track clearance after valid-document scanning, facial recognition and fingerprint verification, according to the airport's border inspection station.
The fast-tracking service has improved immigration clearance efficiency, optimized the clearance experience for inbound and outbound passengers, and alleviated congestion.
To ensure the smooth operation of the fast tracks, the border inspection station has carried out a thorough overhaul and multiple tests of all devices, optimized the inspection procedure, renewed signs, added guides, and held practice drills.
