Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province will have a new sports venue when the Oudong Sports Park, which is currently under construction in Ouhai district, is put into trial operation in August, local media reported.

The park will include two tennis courts, two standard basketball courts, and eight half-sized basketball courts. It is expected to officially open to the public before the Hangzhou Asian Games in September.

According to the Wenzhou Sports Investment Group, the park will focus on socialization, public welfare, digitalization, and efficiency.

It will involve social forces in its construction and operation, offer low-cost or free admission during designated periods, rely heavily on automation, and add rain shelters so that it can be used in any weather.

The Oudong Sports Park will provide nearby residents with a great place to work out and will alleviate the shortage of fitness facilities in Wenzhou.
