The Hangzhou Asian Games, which are set to begin on Sept 23, entered their final 100-day countdown on June 15, meaning preparations have entered the final stretch. As a co-host city of the Games, Wenzhou is gearing up for this significant milestone.

The Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium hosted a spectacular sports and cultural event that night, aiming to create a visually stunning and emotionally captivating sports and cultural experience for the public.

The gala featured animations, live performances, and drone shows showcasing the Asian Games' mascots and offering up an unforgettable spectacle.

On the same evening, an event celebrating the 100-day countdown took place in Longwan, which leveraged local venues, namely the Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center and Wenzhou International Tennis Center, to host mass fitness activities and a series of high-level sports events.

The day also witnessed the launch of the "Embrace the Asian Games" Wenzhou All-People Football Tournament, which includes over 100 teams, further fostering a vibrant atmosphere for hosting Asian Games football events in the city.

Starting on June 16, Ouhai district will host a series of activities related to dragon boat culture, such as the 2023 China Wenzhou (Ouhai) Dragon Boat Culture Conference, the opening of Wenzhou Dragon Boat Culture Museum, and a traditional cultural market celebrating the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival.

With three venues and one Asian Games Village, Wenzhou will host the football group stage matches and dragon boat races as part of the Hangzhou Asian Games. The anticipation is building as Wenzhou puts the final touches on its preparations to contribute to the success of the prestigious sporting event.
