Rural areas of Wenzhou, a city in East China's Zhejiang province, have undergone a remarkable transformation thanks to the Green Rural Revival Program, which was first put forward 20 years ago.
By upholding the philosophy that lush mountains and lucid waters are invaluable assets, Wenzhou has changed the face of rural areas, improved the awareness of local farmers and boosted agricultural efficiency.
The province-wide Green Rural Revival Program aimed to improve the rural living environment, enhance rural production, people's livelihoods and the natural environment, and elevate the quality of life for farmers.
The program, as a fundamental undertaking based on the coordinated development of urban and rural areas and the pursuit of common prosperity, will help overcome obstacles that impact the overall development of the province. It has outlined a promising future for rural areas in Zhejiang.
