The 2023 China Road Bicycle Professional League Wenzhou Station came to a close on July 2. Over the course of two days, the event attracted thousands of domestic and international cyclists to compete at Yandang Mountain and the Nanxi River in the city of Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang province, local media reported.

The 2023 China Road Bicycle Professional League is one of the highest-level cycling events in China and serves as a platform for professional cyclists to showcase their skills. The Wenzhou Yandangshan Nanxi River Station, the league’s fourth station, adopted a two-day race format, including city circuit races and men's races with a professional group and a riding group.

On the first day, a city circuit race was held. More than 120 cyclists from 18 UCI-registered domestic professional teams circled the central city area of Yueqing, a 4A-level scenic spot, for 16 laps, totaling 128 kilometers.

The race passed through multiple city landmarks such as Dongyun River Park, Shenglitang River Park and Qinghe Park. The cyclists showcased their superb skills and endurance in the fast-paced race. In the end, Alexey, a foreign rider from the Li-Ning Intercontinental team, crossed the finish line first, followed by Ma Binyan from the Hengxiang Intercontinental team in second place and Wang Kuicheng from the Bardley-Lantu Intercontinental team in third place.

The following day saw intense competition, especially in the professional group, with a total distance of 160 kilometers. The lush green mountains, flowing waters, vibrant trees, long tunnels, and bamboo-filled villages created a beautiful backdropfor the cyclists, who rode freely through the picturesque landscape.
