As graduation season arrives, Wenzhou is implementing innovative measures to better retain talent, providing comprehensive support in terms of employment, housing, internships, and entrepreneurship for talented individuals who choose to stay in the city.

During the pre-employment job fair at the end of the spring semester, Ji Le, a 2024 graduate majoring in valve design and manufacturing at Wenzhou Polytechnic, secured an internship in the quality assurance department of Fangzheng Valve Group.

"The company aligns with my major, and there are teachers guiding me in my work, plus free meals and accommodation," Ji said.

Through the one-week internship, he acquired practical knowledge not found in textbooks, improved his skills, and gained a deeper understanding of valve components and operational procedures. Upon completion of the internship and passing the company's assessment, he will have the opportunity to continue working there as a regular employee.

By bringing employment services to campuses, Wenzhou aims to foster early collaboration between soon-to-be graduates and companies.

This summer, Wenzhou established a platform for summer internships through collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and enterprises. This targeted training model helps third-year students secure employment positions in advance.

Summer internship activities are being offered at various universities in Wenzhou, with over 4,000 students already engaged in internships at companies related to their fields of study.
