More than 50 Tibetan teachers and students from Golmud in Northwest China's Qinghai province boarded a flight on July 20, concluding their eight-day visit to Wenzhou.

From the Kunlun Mountains to the banks of the Oujiang River, the Tibetan delegation scaled an altitude of 3,000 meters and covered a distance of 3,000 km, venturing beyond their hometown for the first time, broadening their horizons and sharing the richness of their ethnic culture.

On July 15, over 50 Tibetan highschoolers, dressed in their traditional attire, joined their Wenzhou counterparts for a magnificent cultural performance in the bustling streets of Wenzhou's Wuma area.

Featured were enchanting performances like the Tibetan mandolin chanting of Beautiful Legends and the Mongolian traditional dance Jixiang Andai, allowing the audience to experience the charm of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau culture. The Wenzhou Youth Art School showcased a creative dance entitled Ding Ding Dang's Promise, ingeniously blending the melody of Wenzhou folk song with Tibetan dance, highlighting the friendship between the youth from the two sides.

On July 16, a football match between Golmud and Wenzhou U12 youth teams took place at a local football base. Although the Golmud team lacked professional training like their Wenzhou counterparts, they are known locally as a champion team with an intense love for the sport. With their tenacious spirit, they turned the tide of the game and scored two goals in the last moments, only narrowly losing to the Wenzhou team.

At the Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, the children experienced the atmosphere of the Asian Games. The girls took photos, while the boys lined up on the track, as if an Asian Games competition was awaiting them. They attentively listened to the explanations in the VIP viewing area, simulated a post-match press conference in the press room, and explored dragon boat culture at the Dragon Boat Museum, where they even tried out dragon boat racing.

They also visited the Wenzhou Polar Ocean Park, where they explored the mysteries of nature, experienced the wonders of science and technology at the Wenzhou Science Museum, and dressed up as doctors at the Eye and Vision Health Science Museum. They also listened to stories of guarding the border and coastal defense at Dongtou Haixia Training Center.

Chang Shuqing, an official from Golmud, was deeply impressed by the students' newfound confidence.

"For many of these children, it was not only their first time in Wenzhou but also their first time leaving their hometown. The trip provided them with an opportunity to broaden their horizons, learn, and grow. The seeds of confidence, independence, and self-improvement sown in their hearts will benefit them throughout their lives."

Wenzhou and Golmud established a support relationship in 2010, fostering a deep friendship between the two cities.
