Approximately 51,000 tickets for the Hangzhou Asian Games were snapped up within a mere four minutes during the latest pre-sale campaign at 2 pm on July 25, local media outlets reported.

The tickets cover three sporting events: canoeing (flatwater), dragon boat racing, and basketball. A total of 16 ticketed sessions were made available, with prices ranging from 50 yuan ($7) to 1,000 yuan. Among them were tickets for the men's and women's basketball semifinals and finals, held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.

One resident surnamed Du managed to secure two tickets for dragon boat racing. He revealed that he followed a ticket-grabbing strategy, prepared his personal information in advance, set an alarm clock, and quickly secured the tickets within a mere 90 seconds.

Tickets for the Hangzhou Asian Games are currently in the pre-sale stage (July 8 to Aug 6), when people can reserve seats for various sporting events. Once the tickets are issued, they can access their seat information by looking at their order details or ticket folders.

The remaining tickets for the aforementioned events will be gradually sold during the real-time sales phase.

From Aug 14 until Oct 8, people with tickets will have the opportunity to choose their seats based on the venue’s seating chart. However, for some sessions and events determined by a lottery, seat selection will be allocated based on the ticket category.
