Representatives from State-owned enterprises and private enterprises from Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province visited Wenzhou to discuss and explore collaborations, strengthening friendship and promoting mutually beneficial development.
Guangzhou boasts robust State-owned enterprise strength, with total SOE assets exceeding 6.2 trillion yuan ($844.23 billion) in 2022, ranking it first among sub-provincial cities in China. The city is home to four Fortune Global 500 companies and more than 20 large leading enterprises that are part of the Fortune China 500 list.
Guangzhou's strategic focus on industries such as new energy, biopharmaceuticals, and intelligent manufacturing aligns well with Wenzhou's industrial landscape, offering ample collaboration opportunities along the industrial value chain.
The companies visiting Wenzhou represent a formidable lineup, including auto giant Guangzhou Automobile Group; multinational guru Yuexiu Group; Guangzhou Water Investment Group, a benchmark in the water sector; Guangzhou Intelligent Control, a player in intelligent manufacturing; Guangzhou Restaurant, revitalizing traditional brands with new vigor, as well as private enterprises like Jiadu Technology, specializing in artificial intelligence, and Liby Group, a leader in the detergent industry.
During their visit to Wenzhou, the delegation inspected the development of industries such as new energy, digital economy, and premade food, as well as urban development. They engaged with enterprises along the supply chain, discussing topics like market-oriented operation of SOEs and leveraging State-owned capital for economic growth.
