A total of 233 volunteers from Zhejiang Dongfang Polytechnic contributed to the Hangzhou Asian Games torch relay, which passed through Wenzhou on Sept 15.

According to Volunteer Zhejiang, a provincial volunteer platform, Wenzhou has successfully recruited over 110,000 volunteers for various tasks related to the Games. These tasks range from promoting the Games and maintaining public order to conducting security patrolling, providing information assistance, guiding traffic, offering language services, providing emergency aid, and ensuring accessibility support.

So far this year, volunteers have organized a total of 30,985 activities related to the Asian Games with 458,000 individuals involved.

The Games have attracted 13,200 volunteer applications from the local community, 1,750 of whom have been selected to serve the continental sports event.

To further enhance the volunteer services during the Asian Games, Wenzhou has established volunteer kiosks throughout the city. These well-equipped facilities, complete with air conditioning, charging stations, wheelchairs, and medical supplies, serve as reliable sources for information consultations, traffic guidance, language services, emergency assistance, and more, benefiting both residents and tourists.

Even the senior citizens of Wenzhou have actively joined this extensive volunteer movement. For instance, Yinyaoouyue, a volunteer group comprising retired cadres in Wenzhou, has enthusiastically organized voluntary activities in parks and department stores.

Citizens can conveniently register and participate in voluntary activities by using Alipay, or by searching for "Zhejiang Volunteer" on the online administrative service platform called "Zheliban" in Zhejiang province.
