Several sports facilities in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province that served as sporting venues for the just-concluded Asian Games Hangzhou are now being repurposed.

They include the Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium, the Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, and the Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center.

The Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium, which served as the venue for women's football matches during the 19th Asian Games, has resumed normal operations and has been open to the public since Oct 2. Over the next few months, several local primary and secondary schools will utilize the stadium for their sporting events.

The stadium is also gearing up to host not only football matches but also corporate sports events, large-scale cultural performances, and various exhibitions.

The Wenzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, where 10 women's football matches took place during the Asian Games, stands out as the city's most extensive and versatile sports facility.

The stadium's gymnasium and swimming pool continue to remain accessible to the public, as usual. Officials are diligently crafting a policy to open up training grounds to the public, with expectations for implementation in November.

In addition, negotiations are underway to host several concerts. The first confirmed event is Zhang Xinzhe's "Futuristic 2.0" world tour concert on Nov 25, marking the stadium's first major concert since its opening.

The Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center, which hosted the dragon boat events of the 19th Asian Games, is currently the most high-end and standardized dragon boat sports facility not only in China but across all of Asia.

According to its officials, the venue is currently undergoing recovery and handover work, with outdoor areas open to the public. Nearby residents have already started using it for walking and other fitness activities.

Next year, the center plans to host a variety of events, primarily focusing on dragon boat races but also including kayaking, paddleboarding, mini triathlons, and fishing. Furthermore, the center will introduce over 10 water-based experiential and training programs for the public.

The Wenzhou Dragon Boat Culture Museum within the center reopened to the public on Oct 10. It is expected to become a popular destination for students during their school breaks to engage in educational tours and activities.
