The 134th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, is scheduled to be held from Oct 15 to Nov 4, and Wenzhou is poised for a strong showing, with 750 local enterprises and a historic high of 1,567 booths, including 457 specialized brand booths and 1,110 general booths.
This year's 133rd Canton Fair, held in May, included 1,553 booths with 671 enterprises. It featured groups of business representatives from the modern textile and apparel industry as well as shoe exporting. During the fair, Wenzhou attracted 14,755 foreign buyers to its booths. Out of these, 5,056 expressed purchase intentions, resulting in an intended transaction value of $230 million.
Key exhibition commodities at the upcoming Canton Fair will include footwear, electronics, bags, office supplies, auto parts, apparel, gifts, household appliances, hardware, and bathroom equipment.
Wenzhou organized a series of activities such as training sessions to prepare the enterprises for the fair. The aim is to support local business in securing orders and expanding their market reach while strengthening traditional relationships.
